Winners bumper next up for Farmer Clondaw Farmer could have one more start in a bumper before embarking upon an hurdling campaign. The Shark Hanlon-trained Scorpion gelding was all the rage at Galway in the Guinness Legacy INH Flat Race and made no mistake in the hands of Patrick Mullins, although it was a close call in the end as he rallied to beat Blueprint Bob by a short head. Hanlon said: "I couldn't believe anything got close to him in Galway, I think he's a very good horse. He wants a bit of nice ground. "I've to talk to the owners, but he might go back for a winners' race in Galway in September and then we'll go hurdling with him." Hanlon just missed out at Ballybrit with Usuel Smurfer but a big target is on the horizon for the six-year-old, who rarely runs a bad race and was beaten just a head in the Galway Balzers by Aranhill Chief. Hanlon said: "Usuel Smurfer was very unlucky in Galway. He was only beaten a head and goes for the Kerry National now. He got a few pounds for that race so should be around the low weights in the Kerry National."
