Winning British Debut for Joe Blake Former top Irish hunter chaser, Joe Blake graduated successfully to handicap company when making a winning debut for trainer Len Lungo at Wetherby yesterday.Trained by Ian Ferguson to finish fourth in last year’s renewal of the Foxhunters at Cheltenham, the eight-year-old jumped well under Tony Dobbin to record a length and a quarter victory, in the process justifying 7/4 favouritism.Lungo wasn’t definite on plans now for the son of Jurado, commenting ‘I don’t think he will be suited by heavy ground and he is too big to go on the firm, so we will have to see how we go’.
