York option for Ballybacka Ballybacka Queen could be prepared for a trip to York next month following her pleasing return to action at Leopardstown earlier this month. Pat Fahy's admirable mare was beaten just half a length by the Jim Bolger-trained Altesse in the Listed Noblesse Stakes at Leopardstown over a mile and a half. The County Carlow handler now feels she could be suited by a drop back in trip for the Middleton Stakes on May 12. Fahy said: "I was delighted with her at Leopardstown. "Kevin (Manning) feels we should try her over a mile and two furlongs, and she may go to York providing the ground is not firm. She is a good traveller and it's worth a try. "She's also entered in the Blue Wind at Naas, and it won't be easy no matter where we go. "I think the owners are planning to put her in foal this year but we'll just have to time it right so that we get a fair bit of the season."
