Zhukova returns in Noblesse

Zhukova has her first start since Champions Day at Ascot in October when she heads the field for the Listed Irish Stallion Farms EBF Noblesse Stakes at Cork.

This mile-and-a-half event is for fillies and mares and Zhukova was also amongst her own sex when having a four-race winning spree halted at the Berkshire venue.

That seventh-place effort behind Journey was in Group One company, though, and it is probable that Dermot Weld's runner was not at the peak of her powers on that occasion.

She had previously looked like a performer on the way to the top, particularly so when annexing the Group Three Blue Wind Stakes at Naas in May in tremendous style.

The Rosewell House trainer is looking forward to starting back with the daughter of Fastnet Rock on Saturday.

He said: "She loves a good dig in the ground and there should be plenty there.

"Cork is one of the best tracks in the country, you've got a four-furlong straight there, it's a lovely track and one of the best in Europe, never mind Ireland."

With an official rating of 115, Zhukova is very much the one to aim at but Red Stars did compete in the Irish Oaks on her last start and she's in possession of a 101 rating.

Love Potion begins for Aidan O'Brien having won a seven-furlong maiden for David Wachman in December 2015 on her only start.

Reportedly, the hope of her connections is that the Galileo four-year-old will be a black-type filly.

Glamorous Approach is not to be underestimated either as Jim Bolger's string are performing with distinction at present.

Weld and Bolger are also represented in the Cork Handicap, the most valuable contest elsewhere on the programme.

Coming off a Dundalk win, Ringside Humour could follow up for Bolger and Kevin Manning.

Joe Murphy has a couple of horses to note in the interesting maidens that are down for decision.

His Born To Play and Guido Reni can make their presence felt at 1.40 and 3.20 respectively.
