Gortnaclea Castle gains deserved success

Gortnaclea Castle was an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Flat Race for trainer Mark Oliver Quigley and jockey Adam Ryan, who has enjoyed a positive start to the new season in Ireland. The jockey elected to keep on the outside throughout and, when asked to extend by Adam Ryan, she obliged and showed a good attitude to assert away from her rivals and win by 4 3/4 lengths, which was a deserved success after some nice second-place efforts in bumpers.
