He landed both his bumper and his maiden hurdle here and boasts some decent form over fences himself, the highlight being his runner-up finish in a Grade 3 handicap chase at Fairyhouse at the beginning of the year. Rocky’s Diamond pulled-up in the Galway Plate but bounced back to win over hurdles at Kilbeggan last Saturday and looks the biggest threat ahead of both Thecompanysergeant, a winner over hurdles at Clonmel in June, and Anyway, a big fancy when an early casualty in last year’s Galway Plate.
