A half-brother to four winners, the selection wasn’t beat far at the Curragh in mid-August and, at Cork, finished a close third. That race’s fifth-placed horse scored next time, and indeed narrowly defeated today’s rival Dawnmore. Dawnmore, out of a half-sister to a Group 3-winner, missed the break on his Gowran debut and, at Naas, showed nice progression, so should figure today. Magna Victoria is a sibling to three blacktype performers and while she could be capable, lacks experience at this tight course.
