He was outgunned before the final flight by the ready winner and that horse has subsequently run up a hat-trick through victories in Roscommon and at the Galway Festival. The 113-rated Minella Post held every chance in second at Cork in July before departing at the penultimate flight. He has since been pulled up in a valuable handicap hurdle at Galway, but is a danger if putting it all together. Colliers Quay could improve from an opening fifth from a bumper in Ballybrit on this switch to hurdling.
