The former 96-rated gelding appears best around this trip on a sound surface, and could prove well treated if showing some park on his first start for Joseph O’Brien. Poet’s Pride was busy at Dundalk earlier this year winning over seven and also placed over this trip on his latest outing. Scorching Heat held a rating of 90 when snapped up by connections last summer and was beaten just over a length in a competitive Curragh handicap in August.
