The Elusive Pimpernel was free and after making up ground three from home he couldn't maintain his effort. It was a nice run at the same track previously, when he finished a staying on third and there looks to be a race in him off this kind of mark. Gortmore Lady has been placed a couple of times this summer at Downpatrick and off the same mark as last time she’s entitled to play a role. Sporting Glance showed a nice bit in bumpers early on but has disappointed lately. He is one to note on his handicap debut.
