Formscan - Two fencing newcomers do battle in a match and only a couple of pounds separates them on hurdling ratings. It might be the younger legs of EMID'IO PEPE who comes out on top for Dan Skelton and he finished in front of Act Of Authority when the pair were last sighted in an Aintree handicap over timber. Both geldings are expected to have been well schooled at home given their connections but it's the five-year-old who just edges it.
