FormscanBy Mark Nunan - The Birdcatcher seems to be losing its allure and a field of eight is disappointing. ORISTOWN BOY weakened tamely at Listowel last month, but his previous form over 7f was good and the soft ground will put a premium on stamina. Rory Mulligan is a rapidly improving rider and will probably have his mount in the front rank from the start. Pink Venom, up 19lb for two wins, has probably used up most of what she had in hand of the marksman. Yielding ground was okay for her at Cork, but this surface will be more testing. Lars Soldier was a winner on soft to heavy ground back in April. He's a hardy juvenile with 10 runs on the board already, and this is a more realistic target than stakes company at Fairyhouse last month.
