Formscan - Top-class operator METRONOMIQUE (1) is difficult to oppose over this track and trip. He won the Prix Ferdinand Dufaure chase (Grade 1) on his penultimate start in May and was a facile winner on his comeback in a Grade 3 chase over the same in September. The two who could be a threat are VICTRIX DU MESNIL (6) and FRENCH LOVER (3), who were second and third in the Grade 3 chase in September and are both improving. MELISSE DU MATHAN (7) is also worthy of attention and makes up the shortlist.
