FormscanBy Mark Nunan - This race’s prize-fund has reverted to its 2011 level, yet in only one of the 14 renewals since, when the prize money was either 40k or 50k, did it attract a field of this size. The message is clear. If you want more competitive racing, reduce prize money. The consistent WHOLELOTOFBUSINESS was no match for Lieber Nicc in last year’s renewal, but has race- fitness on his side in the rematch and his third in a good handicap at Listowel was probably a career-best. Daniel King takes over in the saddle for the first time. Lieber Nicc is one of three in the race for Henry de Bromhead, but hasn’t been seen since that wide-margin success a year ago and stable jockey Darragh O’Keeffe has elected to ride Radiator Springs who was fourth in a blanket finish at Listowel. Another with claims on Harvest Festival form is Ben Hur, who had three of these behind when runner-up on handicap debut in the Lartigue Hurdle.%0A
