FormscanBy Michael Graham - PATH D'OROUX could open his account over fences. On his penultimate start, he was very unfortunate when he fell in a close second at the final fence after being hampered in a CD handicap chase. He then probably ran as well as could be expected in second, well behind the winner of a beginners' chase in Fairyhouse. The horse that beat him has a Grade 1 entry for the Cheltenham Festival. The Big Chap has claims on the back of a staying-on effort in second over CD last month. Prior to that, he had been successful in Fairyhouse and Galway. Solness and The Folkes Tiara both won on their last outings over fences and the former caught the eye when putting six lengths on the runner-up in Fairyhouse. He has gone up 9lb in the weights, but that may not be insurmountable.
