FormscanBy Mark Nunan - GALVIN was touched off in this twelve months ago after winning at Punchestown and has followed the same path to this year’s renewal. A Grade 1 winner at Leopardstown last Christmas where he got the better of Gold Cup hero A Plus Tard, his victory on last month’s reappearance will have set him up nicely for this contest. Stablemate Conflated, whose lack of a recent run may count against him, was a surprise winner at the highest level at the Dublin Racing Festival. He probably would have been second in the Ryanair but for falling two out and again proved himself a high-class performer when running Clan Des Obeaux to a length at Aintree. Kemboy is a four-time Grade 1 winner with a couple of runs under his belt. His best run last season was when a close third to Galvin at Christmas but he was twice well held by Conflated afterwards. Envoi Allen has a second try at this trip and, having had breathing issues, his stamina has to be a concern.
