Formscan - Maelstrom is respected after gaining narrow wins at Newmarket and Ascot, but it might be worth taking a chance on JER BATT. It's been over two years since the Dragon Pulse gelding's last win, but he's edged down the handicap as a result and would probably have gone very close at Haydock had he gained a clear run. Hypnotised remains open to plenty of improvement and is an obvious player, having gone down by a neck at Newbury. Others to note include Fortification and Adrestia.
