FormscanBy Alan Magee - KING CUAN (1) probably put up a career best last time when patiently ridden and quickening clear in the final furlong to easily beat Princess Child in the Listed Concorde Stakes over 7f at the Curragh. This represents a different challenge trying the trip for the first time and encountering a sounder surface, but he may prove up to the task. Faiyum easily won a Group 3 over an extended 1m1f on testing ground at Gowran last year and was narrowly denied by the aforementioned Princess Child over a mile at Naas last Sunday. Dublin’s Knight, absent since winning a Keeneland maiden early last year, is difficult to assess while Zodiac Bear needs to bounce back after bleeding at the Curragh last time.
