The Joshua Tree gelding got home by a short-head from Sir Vinny then in a strong looking bumper. The form has worked out well with the fifth and sixth horses winning since. Gillane took nine starts, including his point-to-point runs, to open his account. He was an easy winner when last seen at Bellewstown though and has jumps experience so looks like the obvious danger. Haveanothertry was placed three times for his previous trainer and is another that has to be on the shortlist on his first outing for Eric McNamara.
