FormscanBy Tom Weekes - Connections of KOPEK DES BORDES are hoping for easy ground conditions ahead of today’s seasonal reappearance, and he can get off the mark if the going is suitable. A top class novice hurdler in 2024/25, the selection blundered away his winning chance in the Arkle Chase last March and then held sway at Punchestown, only to fall at the second-last. He remains exciting and this trip suits ideally. Irish Panther finished second in that Punchestown race and while he has twice finished second at Grade 1 level, lacks some of the selection’s star qualities. Bowensonfire might take third, ahead of top weight Westport Cove.
