The French-bred six-year-old was given a patient steer before finishing off well to be beaten less than two lengths, and looks a leading player here off a 3lb higher mark. Swelltime is a dual course and distance winner and readily landed last year’s renewal. There’s little doubt that this will have been his target for the summer and he had a nice warm-up run on the Flat recently. Papagei was useful over middle distances on the Flat in Britain and ran creditably on handicap hurdle debut at Sligo on Sunday.%0A%0A%0A
