This does appear to be a clear opportunity for a gelding who was once rated 92 on the flat if he settles and stamina reserves hold out. Highland Realm, related to the classy Wicklow Brave, was well backed on his bumper debut when finishing second. Although his hurdle debut was slightly underwhelming, it wasn't a bad race for the grade, and he was clearly learning throughout. Chasing Blues is arguably the most interesting contender after finishing 4th on his stable debut at this venue. Recently acquired by Watchman Racing, the E100,000 store was sent off favourite for a hot Navan bumper on his debut and may prove worth watching.
