FormscanBy Tom Weekes - MALLAVELLY was well held at Group 3 level in May but can progress from that seasonal reappearance run, reverting to handicaps. A three-time winner, the selection is an able handicapper who finished third in a valuable race at Champions Weekend last September and her rating has slipped down to just 1lb below a winning mark last August. Bella Isabella finished seventh in that September race and can also improve from her own reappearance run last month. Mehman’s wins have all come over shorter distances but ran well at a mile in April and should compete under a 7lb claimer.

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards (90 = 10st)
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 7lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Apprentices who hold an Apprentice Licence under Rules of Racing issued by any recognised Turf Authority and who have not lost the right to claim the 3lb allowance (95 winners).
