He appeared to be flat out for most of the contest, but he kept on well up the straight even after being headed and is sure to improve once again. Aidan O'Brien's charge would seem to be a stayer in the making and is probably the pace angle here under Wayne Lordan. The Captains Day cost €90,000 from the breeze-ups and finished fourth on debut at the Curragh. The Acclamation colt should step forward from this, but he was probably fairly well prepared for that first outing. Newcomers Invincible Mind and Dawnmore both hold big race entries and should be watched in the market beforehand.
