FormscanBy Alan Magee - CHACUN POUR SOI hasn’t enjoyed his away trips to England but has proven virtually unbeatable on home turf winning eight of nine starts over fences including a decisive victory over Allaho and Nube Negra in this race 12 months ago. He made an uncharacteristic mistake when exiting last time in the Champion Chase at Cheltenham and, with odds-on favourite Shishkin pulled up, the way was left clear for Energumene to record an easy win. There is very little to choose between the pair at their best and Chacun Pour Soi gets the nod at the likely odds. Envoi Allen won a soft enough Grade 1 at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting and had his limitations exposed when soundly beaten in third behind Energumene at Cheltenham, while Andy Dufresne and Captain Guinness have plenty to find on the book with the big two.
