FormscanBy Tom Weekes - It is hoped SYLKIE will be ready for today’s reappearance having last raced in April, but she is a three-time course-winner whose rating has recently slipped. Ideally suited by easy ground conditions, the selection won three course handicaps in consecutive months in 2024 and while well held in her one Flat race this year, had shown form just last October and now competes from a lower 61-rating. Three-year-old Belle Nuit has done most of her racing here and having run well at the summer festival, should compete. Faro Island scored over course-and-distance in July but has plenty weight while Shambata debuts in her first handicap.
