He’s tumbled down the handicap. He’s a fair work horse,. We ran him on Monday over seven at the Curragh and it was just that little bit too far for him without a bend. He toughed it out well there, he looked in trouble a furlong out but he wanted it today. That’s his first win for me, he’s down the handicap a long way since we got him so he’s entitled to get that. He’s got his head in front now so hopefully he can get it in front again.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Pinar Del Rio (GB), ridden by P.A. Harnett, placed second, Never Shout Never, ridden by J.A. Powell, placed fourth, and Dynamic Force, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, placed fifth, where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. J.J.G. Ryan stated that a gap appeared but he didn't have the horse to fill it. P.A. Harnett stated that he kept a straight line. J.A. Powell stated that he received a bump on his hind quarters and felt he kept as straight as he could. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
