Formscan By Alan Magee - PINK SORREL won a Curragh maiden in fine style over a mile on Irish Derby weekend and, having set the pace in the Listed Ruby Stakes at Killarney, only gave best inside the final furlong when fourth behind Salt Lake City. Gypsy Woman has progressed well this year winning a Roscommon maiden in decisive fashion and again forced the pace at Cork last time. However, with heavy rain forecast it’s a worry that she was soundly beaten in-between on soft ground at the Curragh. Just An Hour takes a drop in class after making little impact in the Britannia at Royal Ascot. National Emblem beat Lord Massusus in a maiden over course and distance last year but needs to bounce back after being soundly beaten on his latest two starts.
