When with Colin Bowe, the five-year-old won a maiden by fifteen lengths at Largy in April. By all accounts he didn't beat much that day, but he triumphed in great style. Bowe said after the win: "This must be a good horse as he's only been back cantering for six weeks." Willie Mullins called Clondaw Court "a nice type" in a recent stable tour and he went on "hopefully he'll win a bumper before embarking on a novice hurdle campaign." Meanwhile Colm Murphy said of Mister Hotelier in an Irish Field stable tour on September 29: "He is only back and he has been unfortunate not to win his bumper. He looks a penalty kick to win a maiden hurdle but we'll go back and try and win a bumper first. He handles deeps ground well so we'd be hopeful that he might develop into a nice type of novice for the season."
