Formscan By Mark Nunan - BORN PATRIOT was 80/1 when winning a Punchestown maiden hurdle first time out last season but proved that was no fluke with several good efforts in defeat subsequently. He was third over a similar trip in a Killarney handicap in May and his absence since then is not a concern. Bardenstown Lad has won three of his four starts under Rules and, although his latest Cartmel success was a penalty kick, he’s a promising type who is not to be underestimated. Tullybeg didn’t take to fences but is a useful stayer over hurdles and has the advantage of race fitness over stablemate Papal Lodge who’s been off since the spring. Lady Lingo is a likeable mare who was given a good ride to win at Bellewstown but she’s up in class here.
