However, on the form of his final juvenile start, when runner-up in the Group 2 Anglesey Stakes at this track, he is very much the one to beat. It is surely worth giving the Donnacha O'Brien-trained colt another chance in a race that appears his for the taking. Alexander John was highly tried after reaching the frame in a couple of maidens here as a juvenile. He, too, should be capable of winning in this grade at some point. First Gentleman has been largely disappointing since making a promising debut at this track back in April. The Jessica Harrington-trained gelding has at least picked up plenty of valuable experience which can stand to him now.
