Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - There's been quite a build-up to this year's renewal so no doubt most punters will know what camp they're aligned to at this stage. Ruler Of The World is a worthy favourite but he's a skimpy enough price for the average backer. You can certainly see why the likes of Galileo Rock, Sugar Boy and Trading Leather are being touted by different pundits as each-way propositions. Personally I'm siding with LIBERTARIAN. A good winner of the Dante at York, the New Approach colt flashed home at Epsom to finish second to Ruler Of The World in the Derby. Hopefully we'll get a more satisfactory race here and a definitive answer as to which is the best three-year-old middle-distance colt in Britain and Ireland. Ruler Of The World has shown a wonderful blend of pace and stamina at Chester and Epsom but I'm banking on Libertarian's strong staying-power to gain the day now. A win for anything other than those mentioned would come as a big surprise.
