Formscan By Gary Carson - WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS looks on a nice mark for his handicap debut here. The Australia colt has shown ability on his three runs and looks the sort to progress with racing. He missed the kick and had to make up ground early at Killarney last time where he didn't look at home on the tight top turn. He wasn't abused when failing to go with the leaders in the final furlong. This stiffer mile looks like it should suit now and there looks more to come from him. Several of these clashed at Naas when Nikeandnemesis swooped inside the final furlong to grab victory. Calorific looked like he had come to win his race then only to be trumped close home and may be able to turn the tables now with Shane Crosse taking 7lb off his back. Gold Jasmine, who was third then, remains on the same mark and is entitled to get closer now on these revised terms.
