Formscan By Donal Murphy - This looks a wide-open contest and I'll take a chance on KING CHRISTOPHE. He won on his seasonal reappearance last year, and was a decent fifth in the Ulster Derby at Down Royal in June. He was tried over hurdles at Roscommon in August, finishing third and sixth respectively, before disappointing back on the level at Gowran and Listowel. He was held in high regard by his trainer Patrick Prendergast as a two-year-old and he was even tried in Listed company. He is down to a career low mark of 75 now, and he should be able to make his presence felt with Gary Halpin taking five pounds off. Credit The Giver was a comprehensive winner on his last start at Naas, and he went up ten pounds for that success. Donnacha O'Brien again takes off a valuable five pounds and he can be expected to go close. Ebasani, who was third in a Listed race earlier in his career, finished down the field on his seasonal reappearance at the Curragh on Monday, and it'll be interesting to see how gets on now in first time tongue strap. Salariaq was two from five last season and she is another to consider for Connor King and Tommy Stack.
