He had Zilbiyr and Runmhar behind him on that occasion, and they both re-oppose now. Monocle ran well to finish third on his debut at Leopardstown last August, but disappointed on his next start at Navan when sent off the short priced favourite. He has been gelded over the winter, and he should go close in a contest of this quality. English Pale ran a cracker on his return to action at Tipperary last month, finishing third to Kellstorm. He can be expected to come on a bit for that run, and he is sure to have plenty of supporters. The Kevin Prendergast trained newcomer Waarif is another who can't be discounted.
