FormscanBy Tom Weekes - GEOLOGICAL has been a fantastic servant to connections and might be able to win his 11th career race here. He is a thoroughly dependable horse in this grade and over these type of trips and comes here in excellent form, albeit having run just four days ago at Bellewstown. He ran another solid race then and while he is without his 7lbs claiming rider, Colin Keane takes over the ride today and he should again figure at the business end. Morpho Blue is a progressive and capable filly who comes here chasing a hat-trick. She won over a mile on her latest start but won her maiden over this trip at Leopardstown but a concern today is that she now takes another step up in grade and faces battle-hardened handicappers. Another three year old All The King's Men is an interesting runner and does have plenty experience. He raced over 5f-6f until tried over 7f on his latest start in June and then performed very well when beaten a head by subsequent Derby weekend winner Basic Law, when giving that rival 3lbs. All The King's Men again races over 7f today and should be involved at the business end. Port Lions beat GEOLOGICAL into fourth when winning two starts ago but seems better at a mile while Honor Oak is a consistent performer who can get involved having dropped 2lbs from her recent Gowran defeat. Equitant won twice on the all-weather at Dundalk last November but has been well held on his most recent starts.
