Formscan By Michael Graham - DA BIG FELLA showed improvement in first-time cheekpieces at Galway and there may be more to come. He ran on for second, beaten by half a length, over an extended 2m6f in Ballybrit and that run was particularly noteworthy as it came in a higher grade on testing ground. Faith Loving got home by the minimum margin over an extended 3m in Fairyhouse and in effect is only 3lb higher as his jockey can use his full claim in this race. Greenway Machine has turned the corner with a victory in Downpatrick and a close second behind Faith Loving in Fairyhouse. The 11-year-old is a big player. One of these days Fox Le Bel will pop up, but the long-standing maiden is hard to put forward as a betting proposition.
