Formscan - PALAWAN DU MAZET showed his appreciation for the testing conditions when getting off the mark at Taunton, making amends for a disqualification after passing the post in front in the same race 12 months prior. He had a subsequent winner back in third and can kick on now. Ahanaglogh was fancied to leave all previous form well behind on his handicap/chase bow and did just that, but was still put in his place by an emphatic winner. There was encouragement to take from the display, though, and he must be feared. Nedzor is the pick of the remainder.
