The Henry de Bromhead-trained gelding was going to be well beaten by Galopin Des Champs until that rival tipped up at the final fence and Rachael Blackmore’s mount appeared very laboured on the run-in. He previously beat Capodanno by nearly five lengths over 2m4f here and should confirm those places if anywhere near concert pitch. Fury Road won a Grade 1 over this trip at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting and can’t be lightly discounted after filling the runner-up spot behind Ahoy Senor at Aintree. Millers Bank comes here off the back of a career best when taking the Grade 1 Manifesto Novices Chase at Aintree, while Beacon Edge needs to bounce back after reportedly running flat at Cheltenham.
