Last year's winner Monbeg Notorious signalled a return to form when fourth in a Grade B handicap chase over three and a half miles in Punchestown last month. That puts him in the frame. Top Moon ran an absolute stormer for a 50/1 shot when getting to within a neck of the winner in a Grade B handicap chase at the Dublin Racing Festival. That was over an extended two miles one furlong in Leopardstown and this is a marked step up in trip from his previous furthest trip (when last in the two miles five furlong Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival of 2020).
