Burns finds Highway to winners' enclosure
It (Gowran Park run) just showed that she has been coming back into form. This kind of tends to be her time of the year. She has a good record here and she likes the surface. Sometimes she just needs the race to pan out for her. It panned out well today and Nicola gave her a lovely ride around the paint. The 4lb off didn't do any harm. She won well, so happy with her. She has her level. She is in again next week over a mile which I thought is generally her best trip. Tonight, over the sharper seven, they just went hard enough that she got a clear run down the straight and it allowed her to run them down.
Dalton steers Sovereign Banter in for Slattery
Lovely position and kept it simple. He's running consistently well lately and he deserved that. That's Jimmy's second winner. He thanked Kay (Russell) for giving him the ride on him. We ran him here last week and we thought dropping back in trip would suit. Tough draw but he was a winner a furlong and a-half down the last day even. We are going to keep going for the winter now, five and six furlongs, and keep him at it. He can only come into the handicap proper, the handicapper will give him a few pounds but he is out of the handicap.

She is game, very game. She has grown up plenty, I think. She settled for the first furlong today - sometimes you kind of have to let her do her own thing, you're not really in control. Today, I was worried for the first furlong as she wasn't doing her usual early fractions, but I loved the way she quickened and quickened. He (McGettigan) said she wasn't doing a tap in front, so it is great. Definitely (looking forward to her as a three-year-old), she is by far the best we have. I'm just delighted for the lads, they let me do anything I want with her this year and left me alone to train her. They are getting their rewards because we didn't run her here a couple of weeks ago, she just wasn't right. They just said 'no problem'. My job is to get a bit of black-type for them now - owner/breeders, so I am delighted for them. That will be her (for this season).

How'sthebai up and running for Lyons
100 per cent (learning on the job and stayed well today), got the trip well. The last day he ran he had all the signs that he wanted an extra furlong. He was in a seven furlong 30 grand median auction next week, but went for this one and it has worked out well. Delighted to finish on a good note with him, it was nice to get him done. I was just talking to Ger (Lyons) and we will have a nice slow build up to him next year. It has taken him all this time. He's low to the ground, he loves that surface so he will like nice ground. We'll treat him like a nice horse.
