The Stewards enquired into an incident after the third last hurdle involving Manuka, ridden by D. Meyler, placed third, Call Vinnie, ridden by R.A. Doyle, placed fifth, Dom Lukka (FR), ridden by A.E. Lynch, unplaced and Mr Smith (GB), ridden by P.T. Enright, unplaced, where it appeared that Call Vinnie made a manoeuvre that caused some interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by R.A. Doyle riding carelessly and consequently severely cautioned him having taken his good previous record into consideration. Furthermore the Stewards advised the four riders concerning their responsibility to furnish accurate evidence at an enquiry .
