Gambled debutante rustles up tasty Wexford win
Cooke’s Lass was very green and did well to win as she was being pushed along from an early stage. She was just very raw and green and I'd say she is not too bad. I'd say there is a lot of improvement in her from that and I'd say she has plenty of ability.

Rebel Gold is 'hard to place' but wins veterans chase
he has been very hard to place. The handicapper hasn't relented with him because he is so consistent and he wouldn't stay a yard further than this (2m3f 100yds). The Newlands Chase at Naas had again been the main goal for him and the conditions and everything were spot on, but the chases were abandoned that day. We then had to go to the Shamrock Chase at Gowran, which didn't suit as he was giving away 20lb to the winner who is a seven-year-old. we might consider the Devenish Chase for him at Fairyhouse on Irish National day, they might get a small field for it. It's only 17 days away and he had a hard race today, so we'll see how he is. We'll do very little with him now but he's not going to Punchestown to run in a two-mile handicap, where he'd have top-weight.
Tide turns for Neville's longstanding maiden
he's had lots of teething problems, and I thought he might prefer nicer ground. He is better over fences than hurdles and we'll stick with fences now. There are plenty of handicap chase options coming up for him.
