Five-furlong winner for de Bromhead at Down Royal
Forza Magico rolls home best in north
She won well today, dropping back on a faster track than Navan today. She won comfortably and he (Sheridan) said she had a little look when she got there, so there is plenty of improvement in her. Sprinters, you can't beat running them. A fillies' handicap maybe over six furlongs next.
Lupini strikes for third year running in auction maiden
Today, he jumped smarter than Leopardstown. He is learning all the time and is improving. We thought he had improved a lot before coming here after his Leopardstown race,. The further he was going today, the better. Wayne said he will benefit as well for the step up in trip to a mile. He's very honest, he tries hard and it is nice to have him for the owners - Gary (Devlin) and all have been good supporters of ours. It is nice to get a winner for them. A very nice horse to train, very straightforward. He is a good mover and is genuine and strong. When he progresses as a three-year-old, he will be a nice horse to have. Obviously, we will have to see if there will be any offers, but we would be happy to keep him. This has been a lucky race for us (three in a row) and it is nice to have it. It is nice to have a winner at Down Royal.

He likes the nice ground. We were aiming him at Galway, and we said it would be a bit soft, and we went to Naas and it was too quick. He was just getting going over the stiff seven (furlongs) there and hit the line well. It all depends on ground with him. He'll do the winter in Dundalk now. That's why we kind of minded him last winter, with the idea of this winter.
Flagstone Lady another winner for Reese Holohan
Roscommon was a big step forward. The penny only dropped with her in Roscommon in the last couple of furlongs. She's a filly that we always thought was capable of winning a couple of races when the penny dropped. We came out of Roscommon quite hopeful for tonight, and she was fresh and well during the week, and we said we would let her take her chance. Just delighted for all the guys, it means a lot to them, and it is a great result. She's a filly that stays well, she's learning with racing, and she is going to continue on improving.
Coen cousins battle it out in Down Royal nightcap
I thought Andy (Oliver) had it stolen (with Connecteo), I was standing watching it with him,. We were drawn wide and I did tell Sam to drop this one in, he just about gets the trip, but he needs to be put asleep very early on. He did exactly what he was told. I told him he better bring me to the party if he wins it (apprentice title)!. In all fairness to him, he is a very good kid, and it was a very good ride. I had the option of going to Navan tomorrow, and then I saw this race was splitting and I thought we would chance here. In all fairness, it was a good decision. It was going to end up being less competitive here than a 23/24 runner race around Navan. That's the way you have got to work these horses - you've got to try and give them the best chance to get a win.
