Keeping the Down men happy!. Great ride. I told him to jump out and that he didn't have to make it but if you're there you're there. She's able to float and I knew coming down the hill they were all well under pressure at the back, and she was going easy. Great to get a handicap with her. She's in a mares' race at Bellewstown in the middle of the week, so we will see what way the decs are tomorrow and we will make a decision whether we go or not. I'll see what the handicapper does.

I’m delighted. That horse ran on Friday night at Dundalk and from an outside draw, probably got lit up and did a bit too much and didn't get home. You always take a chance when you run them back quickly, but things went much more to plan. Ben gave him a lovely ride, was full of horse at the top of the hill and won nicely.
McGettigan completes Down double
he had a nice run in Galway, but we thought he was a wee bit ‘short’ after it. He ran then in Punchestown and the trip was a wee bit short for him, but ran a nice race. The ground suited and he does all his work at the back-end of the year; everything worked out alright. He will probably go for the November Handicap (Naas) now if he can sneak in at the bottom of the weights. Patrick lives beside me and was down on Saturday morning riding out for us. I like giving the young apprentices support.
