He had a few years slip by and has had his problems but we were hopeful,. His hurdle run at Listowel (in 2019) behind Jeremys Flame wasn't half bad and he was pretty fit. The second horse jumped exceptionally well and at the last it was more a better jump by her than ours. It was basically a handicap and they were all running off their correct weight and we'll look for another two mile handicap wherever we get one - there's a race for him at Thurles in a few weeks.

The owners (Miracle Cure Syndicate) haven't been at the races in two years and weren't allowed in for his two wins last January so I'm delighted to be able to pay them back with a lovely win. These owners have been with me since I started,. I'm very lucky as I've good owners with good syndicates who have stuck with me through the past two years. This was the horse's first handicap and he just loves that ground. I didn't want to run him at Leopardstown as the ground wasn't soft enough and there was no race for him at Limerick (over Christmas). We had to wait for the soft ground but once he has that, he is a happy horse. I'll see what the handicapper does now but he'll have to brush up his jumping. He is a good flag-bearer when I'm getting going myself and hopefully we can win another race or two. I have 15 in training and am after building a yard with 30 stables and am always looking for more.
