An enquiry was held following a report from Paddy Brennan, the rider of Une De La Seniere (FR), that he had seen an obstruction in front of the third-last hurdle during the race.
The Clerk of the Course, two members of the ground staff, the Starter, the Senior Medical Officer, Paddy Brennan and A.
P.
Heskin were interviewed.
The obstruction was a metal bar that had been left at the hurdle by a member of the ground staff.
Having heard their evidence and reviewed a recording of the incident, a report was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
