The rider and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The Stewards considered that Melton Mossy (IRE) should be deemed a runner as the gelding had every opportunity to jump off and was mounted as the start was effected, before its unruly behaviour resulted in the gelding refusing to race.
