An enquiry was held to consider interference from the wings of the final hurdle, when FRICKA, placed second, ridden by Graham Carson interfered with the winner, BEAN IN TROUBLE, ridden by Lee Edwards. Carson was cautioned for careless riding as allowed his mount to drift left without sufficient correction bumping BEAN IN TROUBLE. An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference on the run to the line when the winner, BEAN IN TROUBLE, ridden by Lee Edwards interfered with FRICKA, placed second, ridden by Graham Carson. Being a 10lb claimer, Carson was offered the opportunity to have someone accompany him in the enquiry, but declined. The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved BEAN IN TROUBLE's placing as FRICKA lost little momentum as a result of the interference and BEAN IN TROUBLE appeared to be always holding to win by a neck at the line. The interference was found to be accidental as BEAN IN TROUBLE was hanging right despite Edwards taking reasonable steps to prevent the gelding causing interference.
