- Stewards Report
Permission was given for Imperial Act (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring only.
Chetan (GB) unseated its rider on the way to post and cantered loose to the start.
Having been examined by the doctor and Veterinary Surgeon at the start, both the rider and gelding were deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Chetan (GB) which proved reluctant to go to post and subsequently unseated its rider on the way to the start in the Racing Excellence Hands and Heels Apprentice Series which stipulates that horses should be suitable for very inexperienced riders.
Having interviewed the trainer’s representative, the Stewards noted her comments and informed her that they deemed Chetan (GB) to be an unsuitable ride for an apprentice in a training race where privileges are not allowable.
Following the race, Keelan Baker reported that Tally's Son (GB), unplaced, reared as the stalls opened, Kate Leahy reported that Mrs Benson (IRE), placed seventh, jumped awkwardly from the stalls and Angus Villiers reported that Amor Fati (IRE), placed fifth, was never travelling.
